It's more FUN in Boracay!

Happy 24 in Boracay!

Summer. Holy week. It’s my birthday, nothing fancy..

IT’S MY FIRST TIME in the beautiful island of Boracay. The beach and its whitest sand, placid water, ambiance and the people explain why it ranked as the 2nd most beautiful beaches in the world (trivia, well..) I spent my birthday alone and had my flight booked last February for cheaper airfare, got it for only 4000 + since it was 2 months in advance.  I saved 4000 grand since flight direct to Caticlan is twice the price. Well, atleast Zest Air made my flight safe and sound in Kalibo where you will have to ride a van going to Caticlan where jetty port can be found plus a 10 minute boat ride; 2 hours to be exact from Kalibo to Boracay since it took me 1 and a half hours to travel by van, sloppy baguio-like road wherein white beach can be seen on the edge of the road.

Was seatmate with Swiss and Vietnamese people going to Boracay, they’re pretty noisy and apparently when they can finally see the port of the island, they can’t help but cry into happiness, and yes I did too. The boat landed in Cagban Jetty Port where it’s another tricycle ride away to finally touchdown the island. I chose Station 3 where I stayed in a transient room and since I only brought enough moolah to compensate my 4 day stay. The landlady is very amiable enough to give me a 20% discount on my stay since I also mentioned that it was my birthday and it’s a yay, suffice for the air conditioned, television with cable, comfy bed and own comfort room.

I often asked people in Aklan why they’re no longer amazed with Boracay, they’ll abruptly say “mainit ho sir and marameng tao!” (it’s hot and the beach is teeming with tourist) LOL

Enjoy my photos!

I love how our local tourism promotes the name of Boracay to be respected.
Kids from Kalibo showcasing the different cakes they prepared for me. Yay!
It's nice to see them busy preparing cakes out of sand.

I wish I didn't have to leave this place yet.
